The board of directors for Feed Our Rural Kids Inc., (FORK) has voted to advance Keith Kentala from his position as an advisor to the FORK board to a voting director on the board.

Currently, Kentala serves as chairman of the Tomorrow’s Kids Endowment Fund and is FORK’s grant writer and coordinator of the CashFORKids fundraiser.

“Having benefited from food supplement programs in my youth, I am keenly aware of the positive impact they can have on children,” said Kentala. “Joining FORK allows me to pay forward the blessings I once received, and to help our community children today and for many generations to come.”

Kentala retired to the Eagle River area in 2018. He has been married to his wife Diane since 1993 and is the father of three children, Kaitlin, Hope and Jacob.

“Keith’s 32 years of management experience has raised the bar for FORK. His contribution to our long-range planning efforts across a six-month period of last year has significantly shaped who we are as an organization and how we see our path forward in the future,” said Perry Pokrandt, FORK president. “The board is lucky to be a benefactor of his passion for children.”

FORK is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
