FOOD DRIVE TO BENEFIT FORK AND FOOD PANTRY

The “You Are Super” Bowl Food Drive to benefit Vilas Food Pantry and Feed Our Rural Kids (FORK) pantry locations in the area, is coming to the Heid Out Bar and Grill in Eagle River this month.

“Please bring your nonperishable food items or monetary donations when you ‘Heid Out’ with us Wednesday, Feb 8 to Sunday, Feb. 12,” explained Heid Out Bar and Grill Owner Renee Heid. “Together we can make a difference in the lives of food insecure families and their children in our hometown.”

Over the years FORK has established food pantry locations at the Eagle River, St. Germain, Land O’ Lakes, and Phelps elementary school entrances. The organization also has expanded its reach by adding food pantries to the Conover Town Hall, Plum Lake Public Library, and Three Lakes School administrative entrances.

“During our food drive we will donate $1 for every food item collected and register each donor to win a $50 Heid Out gift card,” Heid said. “We believe every day is a great day to make someone feel super, so bring us your food donations this week.”

Both the pantry and FORK are registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. The Heid Out Bar is located at 1298 E. Dollar Lake Road.
