EAGLE WATERS TO SUPPORT FORK THROUGH NOVEMBER

Throughout the month of November, Eagle Waters Resort in Eagle River is urging its customers to help the nonprofit organization Feed Our Rural Kids (FORK) to feed children from food insecure homes across Vilas and Oneida counties.
“This November we are promoting the idea of ‘BOGO,’ buy one meal for yourself and give one to a hungry child,” said Eagle Waters owner Laura Koranda. “Plus, when one of our customers BOGOs, Eagle Waters will match their donation with our own donation of a meal for an area child, up to 200 meals.
“During the holiday season, people just want to do what they can to help others. That’s why ‘Team Eagle’ is enthusiastically supporting FORK’s efforts to help kids. The Eagle Waters BOGO program makes giving simple,” Koranda said.
Customers can add $10, $20, $50 or more to their dinner bill and their donation will go directly to support FORK’s programs to feed local children.
“Generosity is rooted within the realization of our shared humanity,” explained Perry Pokrandt, FORK president. “We know that during the holidays, people are moved by the realization of their own good fortune and often reach out to help others. We are confident that the customers at Eagle Waters will want to share their blessings with children not as fortunate.”
FORK is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
