“Once again, the program will be a collaborative effort of all Eagle River financial institutions in support of FORK’s mission,” said Cash For Kids Chairperson Lexi Scafaro. “Working together, Eagle River’s financial institutions can help to raise the funds needed to underwrite FORK’s five nutritional support programs.”
The Cash For Kids fundraiser runs Aug. 1-31 and provides critical financial support to five local programs, FORK Cares, Meals Now, Jump Start, the Formula Support Program, and the Children’s Pantry which offers six locations: Eagle River, Land O’ Lakes, St. Germain, and Phelps elementary school buildings, Conover Town Hall, and the Plum Lake Public Library.

“This year we hope to fund one-quarter of FORK’s annual budget by raising $25,000,” Scafaro said. “That means each financial institution has an individual goal to raise the monetary equivalent of 1,000 meals, or $3,550 per location.”
Individuals may donate to this effort at Nicolet National Bank, Associated Bank, Ripco Credit Union, People’s State Bank, Incredible Bank, Great North Bank, and BMO Harris Bank.
Donations can also be made online at feedourruralkids.org/cashforkids, or checks can be mailed to: Cash For Kids, 4887 Echo Ridge Dr., Eagle River, WI 54521.
“We are grateful to the Eagle River financial institutions for standing with FORK to help us feed kids,” Scafaro said. “We thank the community for their support of FORK’s mission, and sincerely hope that they join with others in their support of the third annual Cash For Kids fundraiser.”
