Feeding Children in the Northland Pines School District
It costs $3.55 to feed a child one meal in Vilas County. That is 28% more than the average cost of the same meals average cost in Wisconsin as a whole. (Feeding America)
And, unfortunately, there is always an on-going need. Your donation of any amount is appreciated to help us meet our goal of zero hungry children in the Northland Pines School District. For ways to donate other than online Credit Card, please see: https://www.feedourruralkids.org/donate.html
If you wish for your donation to be used in a particular FORK program, please include it in the memo line of the donation form. Otherwise, we will put it where it is needed most at the current time. Thank you so much for your support of FORK and the children.

FORK Cares
The mission of Feed Our Rural Kids (FORK) has been, from the beginning, to provide nutritional support to children from food insecure homes within the Northland Pines School District.
This year our program, FORK Cares, was greatly impacted by COVID-19. In response FORK has stepped up to provide help to the kids in different ways.
But this Christmas break, we intend to deliver 12 supplemental meals to 150 children whose families traditionally qualify for free school meals during the school year. That program represents just over a $6,000.00 commitment from FORK to the kids.
The challenge around food insecurity for local children is large, and FORK is grateful to our community support to help us fully fund our FORK Cares effort this Christmas Vacation in 2020.
Individuals who would like to participate financially to help us fund FORK Cares in 2021 please click here.
